Chalk Ridge replaced our worn-out roof start to finish in two days. Easy to reach, made the financing simple, and walked me through every step. They stand behind their work.

Full replacement three years ago and the price was more than fair for the market. Roof still looks brand new. Had them back this spring for seamless gutters.

Outstanding from the first visit to the final walkthrough. They replaced our roof with standing seam metal, and the care they took with every detail was obvious. Responsive, professional, and everything was done right the first time. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Hardworking, experienced crew. Roof looks great, and the cleanup in our yard and the neighbor's was spotless. Second roof they've done for us.

Treated professionally start to finish. They took photos of my roof, explained the problem areas, gave me a firm price, and showed me the results when it was done. Outstanding attention to detail.

Commonly-used roofing terms.
The words you'll see on your estimate, each explained in one simple sentence.
- Decking
- The wood sheets under your shingles: the surface everything else is fastened to.
- Underlayment
- The water barrier between shingles and decking. It catches water the shingles miss.
- Flashing
- Bent metal that seals the joints where your roof meets chimneys, walls, and skylights.
- Drip edge
- Metal along the roof's edges that steers runoff into the gutters instead of behind them.
- Valley
- The crease where two slopes meet low, where the most water flows on your roof.
- Pipe boot
- The rubber seal around plumbing vents: the number one source of small ceiling stains.
- Ridge vent
- A low-profile vent along the peak that lets hot attic air out. Moves more air than a turbine vent, silently.
- Soffit
- The underside of your roof's overhang. Vented soffit pulls fresh air into the attic.
- Fascia
- The board along the roof edge that your gutters hang from.
